Irvings Bakery is SALSA accredited

Irvings Homestyle Bakery Ltd would like to welcome you to our web site. Please have a good look around and if you need more information about any of our products then just give us a call and we will do our best to help you.
At present we are busy working on our new premises which we hope to move into at the end of June. The premises are located at Abercromby Industrial Park, which is is just after the bypass as you head out the Ayr Road from Castle Douglas. The new buildings are larger than we have at present with good facilities and of course we will still have our shop attached to the main bakery for all our customers. Our telephone 01556 504162 and fax 01556 504088 numbers will remain the same as will our E mail.
Irvings Bakery have successfully achieved SALSA recognition for the second successive year.
SALSA, which stands for Safe And Local Supplier Approval, is a new supplier approval scheme designed to help local and regional food and drink producers supply their products to national and regional buyers. SALSA has been set up by and for the industry as a low cost, sustainable scheme to help local producers meet the standards these buyers demand and overcome the barriers to trade.
We were awarded a Gold star for our Perkins biscuits in the Great Taste Awards of 2007. These awards are run by the Guild of Fine Food, which is the UK trade association for anyone making or selling top quality local, regional and speciality food and drink.
